Philosophy
Our philosophy promotes and supports the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of the young child through free expression and involvement, using age appropriate materials and activities. Recognizing each child as an individual with specific needs is of the highest consideration to our staff of certified head teachers, experienced teachers and assistant teachers; and they will therefore have the best interest of the child in mind.
Children are helped and encouraged to express their feelings as well as their needs. Accepting one's feelings, and letting children know that it's all right to feel any way allows for a positive self-image. To further reinforce this concept, teachers do not place value judgements on the children.
We realize the value of consistency in our program and keep our actions and reactions to certain situations uniform. The children are helped and encouraged to resolve their own differences. We reinforce and stimulate the positive behavior and try to redirect the negative.
